Natural Antiplaque Tartar Control plus Whitening Toothpaste contains xylitol to help prevent plaque, zinc citrate to control tartar, silica for whitening.   Dear Friends, When we founded Tom's of Maine in 1970, we based it on the idea that nature has answers to our everyday needs. What makes our products so effective? We use natural ingredients in innovative ways without adding any artificial flavors, fragrances, colors, or preservatives. Our toothpaste, mouthwash, soap, shampoo, deodorant, and self care products have proven our original belief: ingredients from nature really work. Please let us know what you think! What is silica? Silica is a mild abrasive derived from sand. The silica in our toothpaste improves cleaning and removes stains that form on your teeth over time, making your teeth whiter. What is xylitol? Xylitol is a natural ingredient derived from birch trees which helps in the prevention of plaque buildup. Fluoride-free formula. Some people do not want fluoride in their toothpaste.  We produce our Antiplaque Tartar Control plus Whitening Toothpaste without fluoride because we respect our customer's diverse needs and interests.

"Our family LOVES this toothpaste. We've tried a few other Tom's toothpastes, but we always return to this one. When we first switched over from other toothpastes (like crest) this one seemed almost "bitter" tasting. But after about a week we got used to it and now the others taste like they are full of sugar. I also found that my teeth feel cleaner after using Toms.
I think that this is the best natural toothpaste out there.
Oh, and our toddler loves the Tom's Silly Strawberry, so I recommend that one two for little ones."

This one is NOT a winner.
I just dumped it ,the flavor and texture were not for me."
