World Organic Liquid Potassium Iodide an iodine supplement. Liquid Potassium Iodide is used to treat overactive thyroid and to protect the thyroid gland from the effects of radiation from inhaled or swallowed radioactive iodine. It may be used before and after administration of medicine containing radioactive iodine or after accidental exposure to radioactive iodine (for example, from nuclear power plant accidents that involved release of radioactivity to the environment). It may also be used for other problems as determined by your doctor.

"This product goes on clean and its high potency assures a good supply of iodine. I have been allergic to iodine when taken internally and this was a problem as the thyroid gland (in fact all glands contain iodine) was not getting an adequate supply of iodine. I have tried other products (Sea-Adine) but the glucose base made it sticky and unpleasant for topical application. The purified water base makes this pleasant for all uses."
