"Don't be put off by the other reviews. This is a great product if you're looking for a healthy shake without sugar (or other "cane juice" forms). I agree that this particular flavor of their hemp shake isn't the best, with a strange after taste. But the Berry flavor is great. I'd try that flavor first. Having said that, my husband prefers this Acai flavor because it's not sweet."

"Of course acai is excellent, and many other products by Nutiva are too. However, this particular product by Nutiva, "Hemp Shake Amazon Acai", has been disappointing! It is much too thick and 'gloopy' and heavy with a consistency similar to oatmeal porridge. Also, there is an unpleasant aftertaste.
No one I gave to sample the product is interested in it, and I do not want to waste it. I have already tried mixing it with milk, and am still struggling to drink it. My next attempt would be to mix it with ice cream to see if it is more palatable.
I like that this is packaged in packets, but it is difficult to appreciate the product because the texture and flavor are both very distracting."

"I was very impressed by the Nutiva Original Flavor Hemp Shake and thought that I would give the other options a try for a twist. This particular flavor, Amazon Acai, failed to deliver. While there was a subtle berry flavor and pleasant sweetness, the shake left a terrible, bitter aftertaste in my mouth that I have not experienced with the Original flavor. Additionally, I was somewhat put-off by the thicker consistency of the shake. One of the characteristics of the Original that I like so much is that it mixes into milk easily with a fork and has a thinner, clean consistency. This formula needs some re-working, it is a big MISS in my book!"
