NSI Rice Protein -- 1 lbs 15.7 oz (900 g)

NSI® Rice Protein is an excellent source of vegan, hypo-allergenic protein. Provides 12 grams of high quality rice protein per serving. How does NSI® Rice Protein work? Protein is vital to our most basic biological functions. NSI® Rice Protein is an all-natural completely vegetarian source of protein with natural fiber, that can be used by individuals with allergies who cannot tolerate whey, wheat, yeast, milk, egg, soy and other proteins. While soy and whey protein each provide sound nutrition, rice protein offers additional benefits. Whey protein comes from milk, making it unsuitable for people who cannot or do not wish to use animal-based protein. Soy protein often is difficult to digest, it may pose allergy risks, and many people don’t like its taste. Rice protein is one of the lightest protein sources available. It offers a vegan alternative to soy, without the animal products of whey. It is utilized more efficiently by the body than soy, and is suitable for use by those with food allergies. NSI® Rice Protein has a mild flavor. It may be added to beverages, including water or juice, or added to foods to boost the protein content. NSI® Rice Protein is an all-natural source of healthy vegetable protein that may be helpful in lowering cholesterol levels.  . NSI® Rice Protein is better because it:. -- Is an all-natural, vegetarian source of protein that is hypo-allergenic. -- Eliminates the problems some people encounter with whey and soy protein. -- Provides a better value than other brands

Not really a fan, September 14, 2008
By Schmoopy11

"Not really a fan of the flavor. We purchased 2 pounds thinking it would be a great value but now we probably won't drink it because of the taste... too bad :O("

Good value. Questionable taste., July 2, 2008
By sSsMikesSs

"It takes 2 tbs of this stuff to get 12 gr of protein. Nutribiotic only takes 1 tbs to get 12 gr of protein. I had to add a lot of extra scoops to my shake which made it much thicker and amplified the "questionable" taste. Maybe I can get used to it. I bought 6 lbs of it. I prefer Nutribiotic."

Ruined my smoothie!, June 24, 2008
By WalnutValley

"Texture was OK. Flavor was just awful. I've tried lots of powders and nutritional supplements, not all of which taste good. I've put all kinds of stuff into smoothies and blended salads. But this was awful. It has a processed taste to it that is very difficult, if not impossible, to mask. NOT bland. Plain rice bran is MUCH better than this. Do not buy this product, as it is likely you won't be able to use it."

great product, May 9, 2008
By mslucy from Atlanta, GA

"After reading the reviews before purchasing this product. I decided to give it a try. I add the rice protein to my morning shake every day. I found it to be smooth and mixes well and just can't imagine making my shake without it now. Great product, good price, thanks."

Goes Well in Rice Milk, February 7, 2008
By tattooedsuess

"Easy way to up the protein intake without all of the added junk (artificial sweeteners, colors, and other toxic junk found in other brands). Tastes fine in vanilla rice milk."

good basic protein alternative, February 7, 2008
By missvitie from Nevada

"I can't use whey or soy so I was determined to find a protein for me. The first time I used it, it seemed like too much texture, HOWEVER if you poor a little hot water and stir till it disolves then add to fruit and ice-water then: ta-dah!"

Inferior product, December 25, 2007
By Minapina from California

"I bought this product because the website states it is comparable to Jarrow's rice protein powder. It is NOT comparable! It is gritty, thick and tastes awful. Jarrow's product has no taste and the texture is smooth, so it blends well. Buyer beware! I will never buy this product again. I am stuck with a product I can't use since it would cost too much money to mail back to them, (I bought 4 containers). Don't make the same mistake I did!"
