"It feels oily but tingles is the best description. You have to use a washcloth to rinse and remove residue. Definitely follow with tomato toner. Good combination."

"I have used two tubes of the Burt's Bees Facial Cleanser with Orange Oil Orange Essence and have had no problems. Reading the reviews I was worried that it would be greasy and it is if you don’t follow the directions. you need to rinse it off using a washcloth and it will not leave a greasy residue."

"I've read the other reviews, and I've had the same experience. I love the way it feels on my skin, and am continually amazed that it actually cleans my skin. I was accustomed to cleaners that cleaned fairly well but left my face feeling stripped and ashen. After using this product my face appears brighter and it feels soft."

"Love the smell! The biggest drawback for me is how quickly I go through it if I use it twice a day. So I try just to use it at night. Some people who have reviewed this say that you don't need to use a moisturizer afterward. I still do. My face loves this product. My husband doesn't like how it doesn't foam up and that takes some getting used to, but I don't like some of the chemicals required to make things foamy. I hope Burt's Bees stays true to its cause and keeps making healthy products."

"It cleans well without over drying. Smells good enough to eat! The texture takes some getting used to. At first I didn't think this could really clean my skin, it is not your typical sudsy facial cleanser, but it works great! I will definitely buy again."

"Deep yet gentle thorough cleaning - smells wonderful and heats up as it is put on your face for a relaxing Warming Effect (feels like you are getting a facial). Gets pretty much ALL of the residue off of my skin without stripping it of its natural oils - leaves it Glowing and Beautiful. I LOVE THIS STUFF!! "This is a great cleanser. It heats up (which feels nice) and smells like oranges (yummy). The heating citrus warms your pores, opening them up to lift out the grime more effectively.
I didn't give it a 100% 5 star rating because it doesn't feel like it rinses clompletely away (like a film is left on your face); but then again, it doesn't leave my face feeling over-dried."

Lanolin Aggravates Acne, March 20, 2008

"I liked the way this felt initially but after I started using it my chin started breaking out. I discovered that the lanolin in this product clogs pores and therefore can contribute to acne. Several companies have stopped using lanolin for this reason but many continue, as it is a very inexpensive ingredient to throw in."

"This product has excellent ingredients which are known to be great for the skin. The one drawback for me is that it is a very oily product which is great for more dry skin. I do use it every night to remove my makeup and love the smell and the fact that it moisturizes. For morning facial care, it's just too oily for me."

"I love this cleanser so much, it has saved my dry skin. I use to have oily skin and it was a little too heavy for me, but since having kids my skin has changed and is like the Sahara now. I have TONS of cleansers and have not been satisfied with any of them until I remembered this one and it is wonderful. The smell is to die for, I can't wait to wash my face now!"
