NSI Synergy Once a Day Multi-Vitamin Version 2 -- 60 Tablets

Elevated homocysteine levels have been associated with heart disease and Alzheimer’s disease, so we’ve added 1 mg of folic acid, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine HCl), and the active form of vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin, 500 mcg), to promote healthy homocysteine levels. A clinical study published in The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) showed 200 mcg of selenium (selenomethionine) reduced the incidence of prostate cancer by 63%, and reduced overall cancer mortality by 50%. We’ve added 120 mg of ginkgo biloba for brain and memory function because clinical studies show that it may support circulation to the brain and extremities. Studies suggest that 6 mg or higher of the antioxidant lutein may be critical for protecting the eyes from free radical damage leading to vision loss. Synergy Once A Day Version 2 includes 6 mg of lutein from a standardized and highly absorbable extract called FloraGLO®. Some store-bought multi-vitamins are cheaper, but they are not necessarily a better value. Many of these supplements contain poorly absorbed or inferior ingredients to keep costs low. In fact, calcium carbonate, the primary ingredient in some multi-vitamins, is used to make concrete and only costs cents per pound.
