"This was my first time I've purchased coconut oil after doing some reading about how wonderful it is for health and skin care. I've completely switched from using lotion on my skin to using only coconut oil and am pleased with the results. "I love coconut oil and this one has the price and qualities I like. It's Extra Virgin and Organic which is a must. It's really hot where I live so I keep it in an extra plastic tub with a small ladle. The large jar is just the right size to fit the ladle. "First, this an excellent value in coconut oil. I use it as a nutritional supplement due to surgery which has left me unable to absorb less digestible fats. The flavor is very mild. In comparison to Jarrow, which I like better, the texture is not quite as creamy. The Jarrow has a much more pronounced coconut aroma and taste so it you want a mild product this is the one. I will continue to use this product because the cost is much less and the quality is not so much different to justify spending more."

"If I could soak in a bathtub full of this coconut oil, I would.
I enjoy a spoonful melted in my morning coffee, saute green beans in it, simmer shrimp in it, add it (melted) to muffin recipes and cake batter, use it to moisturize my face and neck, condition my hair, soothe sunburn (works better than aloe) and use it for "oil pulling." (If you are unfamiliar with oil pulling, Google it. Amazing.)
This Nutiva SMELLS of coconut - it's delicious, lucious and divine. This is truly a gift from the Gods."

"Maybe I'm not using it correctly, but this oil is burning everything I try to cook. I've tried it a few times hoping it was something I could adjust. I tried grilling chicken in it, green beans, frying eggs...I even tried baking with it.
Unfortunately I'm 5 days past the 30 day return poicy, so vitacost will not take the item back as a return."

"I use the oil on my skin and hair and really like it. However, I still do not quite know how to cook with it. I cooked some eggs in it but the coconut taste was a little too different for me. I've read that people do stir fry's with it but I haven't yet because I'm afraid that the taste will turn me off. As far as eating it off of the spoon (I've read that also), I don't think I can do. Still building up my nerve to use it in cooking. However, the price was great and I do get good use out of it."
