A highly absorbable form of creatine. Promotes protein synthesis and the formation of lean muscle mass. How Does NSI® Creatine Ethyl Ester CEE 2500 work? Creatine is an amino acid (protein building block) found in foods such as meat and milk, and naturally produced by the body, that supplies energy to muscle cells. Approximately one-third of the creatine stored in the body is in its free form as creatine, while the rest is bound to phosphate and called "creatine phosphate" or "phosphocreatine." During high-intensity exercise, such as weight lifting, high-jumping or sprinting, phosphocreatine is broken down into creatine and phosphate. Energy released in this process is used to recreate adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the main "fuel" source that drives many biological processes, including muscle contraction. Creatine is believed to promote enhanced performance by replenishing levels of ATP. Creatine ethyl ester (CEE) is a structurally related analog of creatine. It consists of creatine monohydrate with an attached ester (an organic compound that forms when alcohol reacts with an acid). As the most absorbable form of creatine, it features a delivery system that allows it to be transported directly into muscle cells. Other forms of creatine "wait" outside muscle cells, attracting water that causes a puffy, bloated look. NSI® Creatine Ethyl Ester delivers 2.5 grams of CEE per half-teaspoon serving. Mix with water, juice or other beverages 30 minutes before meals for best absorption. NSI® Creatine Ethyl Ester CEE 2500 is better because it:. Is less like to cause bloating, gas and other intestinal discomforts. Is available at a much greater value than other CEE products on the market.

"I was under the impression that Ethyl Ester did not cause bloating, within a couple of days of taking this stuff, my stomach started to swell like a beach ball."

"The taste was bad enough (almost unbearable) and then after about 3 days use, I started to get really irritable. I stopped it and got over feeling irritable right away. I then tried NSI's Creapure, regular creatine monohydrate, and I'm very happy with it."
"I purchased this to determine if the benefits - faster absorbtion, no water retention etc. were accurate. Well to date I have not been able to confirm the performance in any respect. The terrible taste was so bad I couldn't stomach it. Regardless of what I used to flavor my drink- juice, milk, ice cream you name it NOTHING covered the aweful taste! So, my advice is to purchase the capsules if you want to compare to regular creatine. Though the capsules are significantly more expensive, at least you can stomach them."

"Though capsules are more expensive, next time I think I'll go with them because this stuff tastes something like rubbing alcohol or awful vodka. I'm still experimenting - someone said Gatorade powder does the trick, maybe it will. I've tried adding plain sugar and it helps, but seriously, sometimes I can barely finish the one glass. It's an excellent price though, quality seems great, and I haven't been using it that long, but I think I am seeing benefits from CEE - some small gains in amount lifting and think I've added a little muscle. Apparently not everyone responds to creatine, so not sure still what to expect."
"The product was all lumpy like gravel...So I called Customer service and they sent me a new Jar and it was like gravel also???? It wasn't as bad but still had a mixture of gravel and powder???"
"I've used creatine in several forms over the years. I liked what I heard about the perceived advantages of the ethyl ester form. however I did wonder about the report of the stuff tasting really nasty, but went ahead and got the powdered version.
When it came I girded myself expecting it to taste something like L-Arginine -- which tastes like dog vomit smells -- but it turned out to be no big deal. just a drop of stevia/glycerin --which I use with the really bitter MSN -- does the trick for me. To be fair people have different levels of taste sensitivity and super-tasters might get laid out by something that doesn't faze a taste bud moron."
"I am 45 and have been weight training for about a year and a half. Trained a lot earlier in my life. I take vitamins, whey protein, and amino acids. I order 99% of my products from vitacost and have been 100% happy with the products! I waited until I got to a certain point in my training to do creatine. I bought some other creatine to get started but really wanted to try this one so I ordered it. I am very disappointed with the Creatine Ethyl Ester. First of all it is the nastiest tasting thing I have EVER put in my mouth. Now I could get around this IF i felt like it was working well, but I don't. I can tell the other creatine i am taking is in me. With the Creatine Ethyl Ester I can't. Maybe it is just me but I don't like this product at all. I wish I could get my money back on it. As I said before all other products I have purchased from the NSI brand and vitacost, I am 100% satisfied with and I recommend this site to many, many friends. But I can't recommend this product at all."
"I have taken creatine monohydrate periodically for 3 years. Every cycle, I noticed significant gains and increased endurance/stamina while working out. I never had a problem with bloat, but thought it would be interesting to try CEE, because it seemed that if CM was good, then CEE must be better!
Wrong. It does nothing for me. Worse than nothing, I have had the weakest, wimpiest workouts I've ever had EVER while on CEE. I've experienced much more joint and muscle pain, and an all over sense of general achiness, discomfort and fatigue which I don't experience normally, whether on or off CM.
Fortunately, I made my purchase here, so I didn't waste a ton of cash trying out something I find useless and am throwing away. I do not recommend this product at all."

"For those of you that are taking CellMass, what in the world are you still spending all that money on that stuff? It's so hyped by the bodybuilding/fitness industry. When it all comes down to the core ingredient, you have Creatine EE. That is the main building block.
Now to the review. The CEE works, period. Everybody knows that creatine works. Esterfied form is even better, easier on the stomach, quicker absorption, no loading or water bloat, etc. This particular powder is the pure stuff, no added BS. And becuase there is no added BS, it tastes horrible. Worried? Don't be. Go to your local grocery store, and pick up some gatorade powder, or some powerade powder. Mix some of that stuff in there with the CEE. Problem solved. It will still taste a little bad, but it's not about the taste, is it? You'll also get some electrolytes in there for before your work out.
The Good: I have been taking this stuff since the beginning of December, and am loving it (was taking cellmass before). The amount that they give you is insane for the price. If you have ever taken cellmass, you know how it will load almost instantaneously, and how you suck in all that water with the first few doses. The best part about this product is the price you pay. I've got enough of this stuff to last me a few more months at least, and I take about 6g/day of the powder (I take Animal Pump, so that's another 3g's on top of that).
The Bad: If there is anything to be negative about with this product it is the taste of it, but who cares? Don't drink it just with water, put it in some juice or gatorade, and you're good to go.
Conclusion: I will never buy CellMass again. The price is too good, and the quality is excellent. These guys (and gals) at vitacost and NSI know what they're doing. I intend on purchasing the AAKG3000. I will write a review on that 30 days after I start taking it.
Notes: If you live in a humid area, make sure you keep the container in the driest place possible. I live in florida, and the powder will tend to clump up once in a while. You can solve this problem by shaking the container for a minute or two, and when you open it up, it will be a fine powder again."
