A highly bioavailable form of the mineral magnesium! Supports bone health and healthy heart rhythm. How Does NSI® Magnesium Citrate work? Magnesium citrate is one of the most easily digested and readily absorbed forms of magnesium available. It's created by bonding magnesium carbonate to natural citric acid, resulting in enhanced bioavailability. Magnesium is a mineral significant in a variety of functions in the body, including energy production, proper nerve function, muscle relaxation, blood health, regulation of heart rhythm and maintenance of healthy teeth and bones. It's also plays a part in more than 300 enzymatic reactions in the body and helps regulate calcium, copper, zinc, iron, potassium and vitamin D levels. It's estimated that the majority of Americans may not be getting enough magnesium through diet, as many processed foods and bottled water do not contain this mineral. Excessive consumption of coffee, soda and salt, and chronic stress, can also lead to depleted levels. Signs of magnesium deficiency include fatigue, headaches, backaches, muscle/body tension, difficulty sleeping, irritability, nervousness, and more. Muscle spasms, cramps and jerks can also be indications of deficiency and may decrease with supplementation. NSI® Magnesium Citrate delivers 400 mg of magnesium per serving. Because magnesium may have a laxative effect, it's best to consume small dosages over the course of the day. NSI® Magnesium Citrate is better because it:. Is a more readily-available and usable form of magnesium. Provides 400 mg of magnesium in just two capsules daily.

"I take this supplement religiously, using it even with my multi-vitamin supplement (NSI Synergy Women's) due to its superior bioavailability. No one should go without taking magnesium. The life of your cells depend on stores of magnesium to balance the Na, Ca, and chloride that pumps in and out of the cell. This is a great product at a great price. Do some reading on magnesium and you will see how important it is."

"After taking magnesium citrate for only a couple of weeks I am sleeping much better and do not wake up during the night any more. I know that I am getting more restful sleep because I no longer wake up tired. Most of the time I wake up before the alarm goes off. Magnesium Citrate has also helped ease by husband's legs jerking at night."

"Mag citrate is one of the most absorbable forms of mag and that's why I bought it. You're not going to beat Vitacost's price and quality. Although the tablets have a slightly unpleasant medicine-like smell, but not taste, I still trust the NSI brand products."

"I looked long and hard for a magnesium citrate product after researching that citrate was the best form to take. I've got my mother taking this every night to help relax her at bedtime. The price is much better than I found for magnesium citrate in my area. It's the only one we use now."
"I bought this product because my doctor said I needed something to help calm me down in the evening to help me sleep and it works and have recommended it to friends. Great product and great value."

"Magnesium Citrate is the best absorbed Magnesium available on market, bar-none, better than Taurinate or Malate . Majority of Magnesium products come in the Oxide form, which is the cheapest and the least effective. I had been using NSI Magnesium Ultra, however it lacked the citrate form. The only issue I have, with "MC" is that there hard tablets, so if you prefer soft gels go with Ultra. Otherwise I am glad NSI came out with Citrate form and avoid Oxide."
