Excellent source of omega-3 essential fatty acids DHA and EPA. Delicious lemon flavor! Can be taken by teaspoon, or added to beverages or dressings. Highly Concentrated EPA and DHA . Nutraceutical Sciences Institute offers the largest selection of pure and great tasting omega oils and softgels - Pharmaceutical Grade - Molecularly Distilled with high elemental levels of Omega-3 EPA & DHA, and are purified through molecular distillation to ensure the absence of impurities, including PCBs and heavy metals. All Nutraceutical Sciences Institute products surpass all national and international pharmaceutical standards for freshness and purity, and are free from heavy metals, dioxins, and PCBs. Every batch is lab tested to guarantee exceptional freshness and purity levels. . How Does NSI® Liquid Purified Fish Oil Omega-3 EPA & DHA Lemon Flavor work? NSI® Liquid Purified Fish Oil contains a blend of fish oils derived from fresh, deep-sea, cold-water fish that has been molecularly distilled to ensure high-level concentration and purity. Each two-teaspoon serving provides 1,518 mg of omega-3 essential fatty acids (EFA's) eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 966 mg docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Omega-3 EFA's are polyunsaturated "good" fats found in oil from cold-water fish such as salmon, mackerel and tuna, or in seeds of flax and other plants. They're classified as "essential" because your body needs them for proper health, yet cannot produce them on it own. They must be obtained through diet or supplementation. Omega-3 EFA's may help maintain healthy cholesterol levels, blood pressure and heartbeat. They're believed to reduce the "stickiness" of blood cells (also known as platelet aggregation), promoting healthy circulation. Omega-3 EFA's may also contribute to neurological, or brain, health and fetal development. Nearly 60 percent of the human brain is composed of structural fat, a third of which is docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Because omega-3 EFA's can be converted into anti-inflammatory substances (prostaglandins and leukotrines), they're also believed to provide joint support, promoting flexibility, mobility and potential pain relief. NSI® Liquid Purified Fish Oil Omega-3 EPA & DHA Lemon Flavor also contains an exclusive antioxidant blend containing rosemary extract and mixed natural tocopherols to help prevent oxidation and protect against free radicals. For best results, take two teaspoons with the first and last meals of the day, or as directed by a physician. NSI® Liquid Purified Fish Oil Omega-3 EPA & DHA Lemon Flavor Complex is better because it:. Is in easy-to-take liquid form, with a great lemon flavor. Delivers 9,200 mg of purified fish oil per serving. Special Bulk Savings. Our Price. Extra Savings*. Save $99.98 off Retail. "I did think this fish oil was a little fishy...BUT, it was easy to go down if you held your nose :-) And instead of just taking it by the spoonful, I mixed it in salad dressing and it was fine."

"Not sure about the quality & effectiveness, but can tell you that the taste is not pleasing. I decided to give a little it to my cat & dog in their food since they don't seem to mind the taste. Nordic Naturals is much better flavor, but the cost is considerably more."

"I have used the fish oil for over a year. I can't prove whether it has helped me or not because I am on some medication and I have tried to watch my overall diet.
I like taking the fish oil liquid. I believe that it is absorbed better than other fish oil products. It doesn't taste "fishy" and has a slight hint of lemon to flavor it."

"I've used another brand for years thought NSI's might be the same just rebranded. After my first teaspoon a stong ripe fish smell and taste plagued me for hours. I cannot handle the sensory inputs of this product. Brushing my teeth and gargoling didn't even help."

"I decided to try this fish oil because it is cheaper than the other brands. I thoroughly regret trying it because it has such a strong fishy taste that makes me gag when I try to swallow it. I even tried drinking juice and eating something afterwards, but the fishy flavor stayed in my mouth. Even hours after taking it, I would continuously burp up the awful taste, and I ended up puking a couple of times because of it. Needless to say, I am sending the fish oil back and am going to stick with the Carlson brand which costs more, but tastes much better."

"I personally take fish oil caps, but I bought this supplement for my 21 month old. I tried it once and it is like drinking a fish, but our toddler seems to enjoy taking it and reminds us each night at supper by calling for his "supplement"."

"Based on the EPA/DHA amounts this is an excellent value from NSI. Molecularly distilled is the way to go with fish oils. I don't personally find any fish taste to the oil, though I wouldn't say that the lemon is a strong flavor either. This product is well worth a try if you're looking for a quality source for EPA."

"This product is well priced. I have only just begun to use it so I'm not sure about effectiveness. It does taste a little fishy to me so I follow each spoonful with juice or my 'magma plus'. I've used another brand with the same EPA-DPA that didn't taste fishy but it cost 3x's as much. Sooooooo....I"m giving this a shot. I will buy it again."

"I decided to try "NSI Purified Fish Oil Omega-3 EPA & DHA Lemon Flavor" It was terrible and rancid. After a tespooon full I had this horrible fish taste that came back for 2 days. I sent it back and got the "Carlson" variety of the same product. Carlson's is the real thing and has no fishy aftertaste. NSI normally does everything with the highest quality. I will give them the benefit that it was just a bad batch. I will continue to buy NSI for all of my vitamin and supplement needs, (EXCEPT FOR FISH OIL)."

"This product's ingredients are great; it meets Dr Blaylock's recommendations. However, I could discern no lemon flavor; it taste like fish. Only thing worse than the taste was that I kept burping for hours and tasted that same fishy taste."

"I switch between this product and the NSI cod liver oil for both my 4 yr old son and myself. He likes both and it is good brain food for both of us. I have not noticed any aftertaste with this oil although I wish it came in another flavor besides lemon...something fruity."
