NSI No Flush Niacin -- 1,000 mg per serving - 300 Capsules

Niacin is an essential B vitamin that plays many roles, including promoting cardiovascular, brain, digestive and skin health. Niacin is involved in numerous reactions inside of cells that convert food into cellular energy. Niacin is also involved in the activity of enzymes that transport and break down fats, proteins, carbohydrates, and other molecules formed from food. No-flush niacin is a form of niacin that is inositol bound. No-flush niacin may be better tolerated because it is does not produce gastrointestinal discomfort, or have the characteristic "flush" of producing red and itchy face and neck. Niacin is particularly helpful in promoting healthy cholesterol levels. A normal function of niacin is to help remove fats (triglycerides) from tissues and the bloodstream.

"I wanted a niacin vitamin that had 1000mg in one pill. The only one I could find like this was Twin Lab. It caused a lot of flushing though that lasted for hours. So I ended up recommending this one to a friend. The flushing lasted a tiny bit (very mild)for a few minutes the first couple days this NSI one was taken, but then the flushing never reoccurred.

What I desire is

1. a 100% organic niacin vitamin
2. non flush
4. 1000mg in one pill.

If I had to compromise on any of the above, it would be that it would be acceptable in a two pill form.

My friend does not like having to take two pills to get to the 1000mg mark though. I didn't even realize it was a two pill dose until I read the smaller print on the directions.

At least this pill contains 1000mg and is non flush, that's why I'm giving it 4 stars. It also seems to come from a high quality manufacturer, but I would trust it more if it was also 100% organic.

It's hard to find a Niacin vitamin that is at least 1000mg and non flush, so I give it 4 stars."

"The No-Flush Niacin is that it truly is no flush. Having taken other medications of high dosages and experiencing the flush....this is a delightful alternative. Cost is reasonable and it makes a difference in my health.
Thanks for asking me to review!"

"The only objection I have with this product is the capsules are just a tiny bit larger than those from Solray, and will not fit in my pill case. Also, each bottle usually contains one or two capsules which have come apart, covering the rest of them with a white powdery dust. It's a good product at a good price, but a tighter fitting capsual would make it perfect. I still continue to purchase because of the overall price/value."

"The one feature this product is promised to have -other than the health benefit my healthcare provider touts- is inaccurate.

The skin flush and tingling make it very uncomfortable."
