Supports decreased inflammation and helps your metabolism. Available in either 500 mg or 1,300 mg. How does Evening Primrose Oil work? Evening Primrose Oil is derived from the seeds of the North American Evening Primrose plant, a perennial found in North America. Many Native American tribes used the plant as a source of food. The evening primrose plant contains an essential fatty acid called gamma linolenic acid (GLA). The body does not produce essential fatty acids therefore this supplement must be ingested through food and supplementation. GLA is rich in PGE1 prostaglandins: these promote healthy skin and overall hormone balance and reduced inflammation in the body. NSI Evening Primrose Oil is better because it:. Is expeller-pressed, ensuring you a pure, hexane-free formula. Costs less than major brands, yet gives you with the maximum potency

"For no more than I paid I sure got alot of product. Just wish I had paid attention to the size of the pill as it's a little much on the stomach unless you've eaten just before taking it."

"After reading the other reviews I decided to purchase this product with the hopes that my skin would improve, however after taking this product faithfully for over 30 days I have not noticed any improvement at all. I'll finish what I purchased and move on to another product."

"My veterinerian recommended giving my labrador retriever this supplement daily to help with skin allergies, rashes etc. I take them too for the same reasons. It seems to be effective but more so when taken with NSI Advance C with Bioflavonoids."

"I found that the amount of GLA in 1 capsule is very low. The same product, from de same company but with 500mg of Evening P. Oil has 3 times more GLA. Why?"
"I was losing quite a bit of hair and was panicing. My daughter did some research and found an article recommending primrose oil to stop hair loss. After taking the pills for several days I noticed that less hair was falling out. A couple of months ago I went out of town for several days and failed to take the primrose oil capsules. My hair was back to a dramatic loss once again. As long as I stay on my two capsules a day I have average hair loss. I don't know if this will work for men, but I highly recommend it for women who have hair loss problems."

"I started taking this to resolve female dryness, which is has done excellently. It also has helped with inflammation in my joints. I recommend this to anyone over 40 as the cheapest form of insurance against arthritis effects and to keep you and your husband in sync."

"My massage therapist recommended Evening Primrose Oil (and Dr. Andrew Weil in his books). NSI Evening Primrose Oil seemed to be a great value and I've definitely seen improvement in my nails (former nail biter) and hair."
