"I got these for my wife because she wanted to get pregnant and needed the calcium. She refused to swallow other calcium citrate pills i got her so she asked me for some softgels. "I have used NSI products for years, love them all until these Ultra Calcium softgels. I take large pills every day, but these are outrageously outsized. HUGE....measuring more than an inch long and half an inch wide! I am a retired nurse and have NEVER seen anything this size meant for swallowing. I so wish I had read the reviews, I always do but failed to on this order. Suppository size at least. I only wish I could post photos of the calcium softgel that I took next to a Sharpie marker and a ruler for comparison. No one would believe this without a photo! I would rather 'swallow' the shipping charges and return them."

"I was not expecting to take two pills to get the 1,200 calcium and the 700 vitamin D...when I ordered. That was my fault for not reading the serving size...I was relying on the information provided on the label- on the front of the bottle...tisk-tisk.... I know better... "While I'm sure that this product is just as high quality and effective as all the other NSI brand products, I would like to warn people that the size of the pills is monstrous. I'm a big pill taker, but I really had problems with these pills (1+" long and 1/2" wide). I tried to use them to up my calcium but ended up giving them away because I couldn't take them.
If you have problems with large pills, buy calcium chews and spare yourself the choking."

"Be warned: these vitamin pills are enormous. They're over one inch long, and quite wide. I have never seen a pill this large. I tried to swallow one and it hurt my throat. You can't split them in half, due to their being filled with goo. These pills ought to be advertised with a warning saying how large they are, so people don't waste their money."
