Carlson Niacin-Time -- 500 mg - 500 Tablets

Time-Release Niacin No Flush Niacin is an essential B-Vitamin (B-3). Niacin is involved in the normal metabolism of fats and fat-like substances such as cholesterol. Niacin taken in a single 500 mg dose, often causes flushing or itching. Carlson Niacin-Time is prepared by a patented process which minimizes these unpleasant side effects, often resulting in no flush. Each Niacin-Time tablet provides a gradual release of Niacin over a period of 5 to 7 hours.

"This is true nicotinic acid, the niacin that clinically has shown to increase HDL-C like nothing else.
The extended release formula (5-7 hrs) causes only minor flushing, not unpleasant at all for me.
If you currently pay $$ for Niaspam, try this. Increase by 1 pill every 4 weeks till you reach 4 (2 grams) and your HDL-C is likely to increase by 20% (google Niaspam for their clinical results). Do get your blood tested for possible liver issues."

"The lowest cost Niacin with no flush, and my cholesterol is back down. I strongly recommend Carlson Niacin.
Once in a while I get a little bit of the flush - but nothing like I've had with other no flush Niacin!"

"My husband was advised by his dr. to take niacin to reduce his triglicerides. This is the only product that did not give him intense flushing. Also, the price is right, especially if you buy the larger bottles. So far, it seems to be working - without major dietary changes, his count has gone down."
