Jarrow Formulas Organic Coconut Oil -- 16 oz (454 g)

Rich in Medium Chain Triglycerides No Trans Fatty Acids (TFAs) - No Hydrogenation. Suitable for Vegans Jarrow Formulas® Organic Coconut Oil (Cocus nucifera) is expeller-pressed from the fresh flesh (copra) of the coconut palm, and does not utilize any solvents in the manufacturing process. Coconut oil is a rich source of Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs), such as lauric acid (C-12) and caprylic acid (C-8). Lauric acid is used to synthesize Monolaurin, an immune-supporting monoglyceride. MCTs offer a rapid source of energy, since they are directly transported into the liver without going through the lymphatic circulation. Coconut oil is stable even during long periods of storage.

"This product is great and it is pure for anyone with allergies or perfume sensitivities. You can use it to cook, for your skin or your hair (although I would not use the same jar for cooking and skin care). If you have a problem with excess dry skin a little of this after a shower relieves itchiness, and is not as greasy as one would expect. I use it to massage into my hair and scalp, which makes my hair shiny. I leave it overnight then wash it in the morning. I saw this same product at a health food store for 3 times the price! Will purchase again."

"The oil is amazing. I've never tried using this oil on hair or skin but I'm glad I did. My hair feels healthy and moist. I was suprise that my hair wasn't dry after 4 days. I used it once on my skin but i heard it will give you a nice tan so I stopped using it on my skin... I'm dark already. lol Anyways, Amazing Oil!"

"I use this oil mainly to lotion myself. If you don't want any chemically altered ingredient to enter the skin, then use this as a daily moisturizer. I even use it on my face for a beautiful glow and smooth all wrinkles under the eyes. At temp of 60 degrees below, oil would calcify, but as soon as you have it in your hands, it would melt to a very smooth consistency. Great alternative massage oil!"

"This oil isn't evco, or raw, but it doesn't claim to be. It's the best value on the market, especially for organic co. Raw coconut oil is absorbed into the skin a bit faster, but it only takes a few more minutes and is well worth the wait. I use it as all over moisturizer and deodorant [yes, really! Works for about 8 hours in Texas heat]. It was very helpful in alleviating my sister's burning, flaky scalp. Also works wonders on mosquito bites."

"This coconut oil is so delicious! I use it in place of butter, even on my toast. I use it for cooking. I bought it for cookie recipes that call for shortening but haven't tried that yet. From what I understand it works perfectly. I have even used it on my hands when they've been extremely dry! It is just wonderful, and so good for you too. I am so happy I found it here!"

"If you are looking for a quality coconut oil, this isn't it. It may be organic but it doesn't have the coconut taste. So, perhaps you can use it for those times when you are baking or frying, you prefer not to spend quite so much, and you can get away with not using the best."
