gentle and effective for teenage skin,

"I bought this for my 13 year old son who has oily/combination skin, because at his age most of his friends and classmates are facing those "teenage skin challenges" that I didn't want him to have to go through. I wanted a cleanser for him that didn't have harsh chemicals in it to irritate his face or be absorbed through his skin. I also didn't want a product that would strip all the natural oils. This one fits the bill perfectly and has natural calming and balancing ingredients. He really likes it - says it smells "awesome!". (which I think might encourage him to wash a little more thoroughly than he would otherwise) I asked him if his face felt itchy or tight and he said "no, my face feels really good"
I use the lavender line but tried this cleanser before letting him use it to make sure it didn't burn or irritate. It felt good on my dry/sensitive skin so I felt confidant having him use it. A pea size drop is really about all it takes to get a nice lather.
I trust the ingredients in Avalon Organics for my famlies skin care needs
I will definately reorder this product"

"Gotta love a facial cleanser without sodium laurel sulfate! This is a wonderful product. Use this for the morning cleansing of my oily/combination skin and it works wonderful. Does not dry out my skin. I tend to use many expensive skin care cleansers and other products and this one is right up there.
A good buy - highly recommend this."

Too Drying,

"I have normal to combination skin-not oily, but definitely not dry either. After the first use I noticed my face looked tighter, I thought it was great, as in firming. After applying moisturizer my skin looked slick, shiny and tired. Apparently my skin was overcompensating for the drying effects of the face wash. I eventually had to give this face wash to my 14-year-old son who, with acne-prone skin, loves it!"

"The best facial cleanser I've ever used. Light, delicate, smells great (and gender neutral: my husband always wants to use it too).
I've taken to also use it as a delicate shower gel, since most products are a bit too harsh for me.
It leaves the skin clean, yet doesn't strip it too much."

"This whole product line is very inexpensive compared to other non-organic skin care products. It really makes my skin clean and protects it from free radical damage that exists in our environment. It's great for my younger skin. The best way to have great skin is to protect it early on ."

"I had used clinique for years and then read all the horrible ingredients they put in something that goes on your face!! Looking for an alternative that works great and is all natural, I found it in this great orange facial cleanser. My skin looks great and I haven't had a break out in months!! Moisturizer that goes with it great as well. I haven't used an Avalon product that I didn't love, including baby wash for my 15 month old!"

"You should only buy this cleansing gel if you have a VERY oily skin-type. I happen to be moderately oily, and can attest that it is VERY drying facial wash. It totally strips the skin. It also has a tendency to irritate, so be careful if you are even the tiniest bit sensitive. And if you have normal or dry skin, stay away from it altogether...it's a harsh wash. I almost can't believe all of the good ratings; don't be fooled just because it contains essential oils and natural ingredients. Instead, I would recommend the Avalon Organics Hydrating Cleansing Milk for most skins. The Cleansing Milk is not drying at all, and even oily skins can benefit from it, as vitamin C is acidic and will help balance your skin. Again, unless you are SUPER oily, stay away from this gel wash."
