Norwegian Cod Liver Oil bottled in Norway for Maximum Freshness. From the deep, unpolluted waters near Norway, Carlson brings you the finest cod liver oil which is naturally rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin D3, EPA and DHA. Only cod fish caught during the winter and early spring are used, as the liver oil content is highest at this time of year. The oil is separated from the liver tissues without the use of chemicals. To insure freshness of Carlson Norwegian Cod Liver Oil, the air inside the glass bottle has been replaced with nitrogen. THIS PRODUCT is regularly tested (using AOAC international protocols) for freshness, potency and purity by an independent, FDA-registered laboratory and has been determined to be fresh, fully potent and free of detectable levels of mercury, cadmium, lead, PCB's and 28 other contaminants. Each teaspoonful contains: 1,100 mg to 1,250 mg Omega 3 fatty acids including:. DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) 500 mg to 590 mg. EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) 360 mg to 500 mg. ALA (Alpha Linolenic Acid) 40 mg to 60 mg

"Deceptive in it's name...cod liver oil? Euuuu! Must be gross! But in fact, the lemon flavor is surprisingly good. So good in fact, that I put a teaspoon into my kids other juices to make "lemonade" juice and they beg me for it. I also mix it into my kefir in the morning or into my tomato juice in the afternoon....both of which they also beg me for and consume. Yes, 5 and 2 1/2 year old kids willingly consuming cod liver oil. If they will eat it, how bad can it be?"

"I have used Carlson's Cod Liver Oil for several years with complete satisfaction. As a source of EPA and DHA, I don't think it can be surpassed.

Unlike some other liquid fish oils, the Lemon has a pleasant tast with no digestive "kick-back".

One of the few supplement products I would recommend without hesitation."

"Carlson's Cod Liver Oil is the highest quality fish oil I have found. It is monitored to insure that it is virtually free of imputities, mercury, etc. The lemon flavoring makes it quite palletable, and the price at VitaCost is far and away the most competative I have found. Furthermore, shipping is very efficient, so the wait time for receiving the product is minimal."
