Norwegian Cod Liver Oil bottled in Norway for Maximum Freshness. From the deep, unpolluted waters near Norway, Carlson brings you the finest cod liver oil which is naturally rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin D3, EPA and DHA. Only cod fish caught during the winter and early spring are used, as the liver oil content is highest at this time of year. The oil is separated from the liver tissues without the use of chemicals. To insure freshness of Carlson Norwegian Cod Liver Oil, the air inside the glass bottle has been replaced with nitrogen. THIS PRODUCT is regularly tested (using AOAC international protocols) for freshness, potency and purity by an independent, FDA-registered laboratory and has been determined to be fresh, fully potent and free of detectable levels of mercury, cadmium, lead, PCB's and 28 other contaminants. Each teaspoonful contains: 1,100 mg to 1,250 mg Omega 3 fatty acids including:. DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) 500 mg to 590 mg. EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) 360 mg to 500 mg. ALA (Alpha Linolenic Acid) 40 mg to 60 mg

"Cod Liver oil can cause diarhea in babies/toddlers so be sure to start in extremely small doses. A 1/2 tsp was too much for my 10 month old so I've started with 1/4 tsp hoping to stop the diahrea. Still in the process of testing."

"I alternate between Cod Liver Oil, Fish Oil and Flaxseed Oil. After much research I found that Carlson's Cod Liver Oil & Fish Oil was the safest. I can't comment on taste because I never taste it. I hold the liquid in my mouth and wash it down with orange juice - No Taste!"

"I have never liked taking oils. It's always seemed like torture. But this Carlson Cod Liver Oil has a nice lemon taste. I still mix it with something else like a small cup of juice, but it blends right in and just adds a little lemony taste. Definitely one of the best I've ever tried."

"I started taking a tbsp of this because of its anti-inflammatory qualities. Joint problems run in my family and inflammation is dangerous in many ways, not just joints. My aunt started taking it first and when she told me that the taste of this cod liver oil wasn't bad, I have to admit that I didn't believe her completely but she was right. It's the best I have ever tried!"

"This Cod Liver Oil is THE GREATEST. The taste is excellent. It tastes like the Italian liqueur called "Limoncello", and there is absolutely no fishy after taste. And trust me, I am very picky when it comes to fishy foods.Also the mouthfeel is like if you didn't take fish oil at all. You can drink it and don't even need to drink water after it. The lemon taste is great, just perfect."

"I take this fish oil supp in the winter since it has vit D. In the sunnier months I switch to the lemon flavored plain fish oil. Both are fantastic, taste like lemon custard, and have no fishy repeats. Never rancid."
