"This was the only diaper cream that kept my son's bottom from getting red. I noticed that when we would use one of the regulars, we had to use more of it & he would still get a bit red. The smell is wonderful, so much more pleasing than the others, which made me a bit nauseous. We were able to buy it with an employee discount for the first year & a half, but after a while the budget had to be tightened & we began using the regular stuff. A tube a week. That adds up to way more then a single tube of Burt's which lasts longer because we didn't need to use so much of it. Burt's is thick & spreads well, you don't need a lot to cover the area & it stays on the skin, it doesn't rub off on the diaper as soon as it's on, protecting the skin better."

"it smells really bad. however, ironically, it's one of the few burt's bees products that has a natural scent. in terms of effectiveness, in my experience nothing works better than Desitin. this cream is of very average performance. :("

"I was always looking for a natural diaper cream that actually kept the babies bums from becoming red. This is one of the few I have tried that I really love. I used to always keep a backup of desitin in case the natural cream didnt work but with this one I dont need any backups. This is officially my favorite."

The best diaper ointment!, May 3, 2008
By tbagg from Oak Creek, WI

"I have used this on both my kids and it is the only thing that worked. They never had bad diaper rash. If they looked a little red I would put this on and they were fine. I had tried other brands that people said were great but always came back to this. Plus I don't like to use chemicals on my kids so this was great even if it costs a little more."

"I've used this with my last two babies and have been very happy. It's knocked out some bad rashes for us. They just recently made some changes in the packaging so it's not in a metal tube, which was a good change as the metal cracked with use letting the cream leak out. The plastic tube is a much better deal. The cream is most comparable to the Avalon diaper rash cream. Both are great products."

"Burt's Bees Baby Bee Diaper Ointment is the best diaper cream on the market. As a mom of two kids in diapers I have tried many other diaper creams (Balmex, California Baby, Happy Hiney, Boudreaux's Butt Paste, etc.). Burt's Bees cream got rid of most rashes within a day (in most cases) while the other brands took much longer. Since the ingredients are all natural, I use this on my kids with each diaper change. A little goes along way, so although the tube is fairly small it seems to last awhile. I have been using Burt's Bees exclusively for the past 6 months and will continue until my kids are out of diapers."

great product, July 27, 2007

"This ointment seems to work well for our 5-month-old son. We began using it when the other diaper ointment that we were using (Butt Paste) was not as effective. The small tube size makes is easy to toss into the diaper bag as well."

"I like that it does not smell like chemical, has a great "herby" smell. It is quite thick to spread on but it works very well. Also the tube is nice and small so it fits into any diaper bag."

"I absolutely love this diaper cream! The tube actually goes a long ways and its very effective. My baby got a horrible rash when he was sick, to the point of bleeding. I took him to the doctor and he prescribed a diaper cream from the pharmacy. That helped a little but after a week we were still fighting it. I tried burts on a whim and his rash was completely gone in 2 days. I haven't used anything else since and he has hardly even had redness since, that was 2 months ago. I'm sold! It is my new standby baby gift."
