"It is very difficult to find a hair gel for fine hair like mine, that holds my style, in all types of weather and doesn't "melt" in humid weather. Seems like everytime I find one that works for me the formula will change and it will no longer be effecive or else it will be discontinued. I was at a loss 3 years ago when my favorite hair gel was "improved". It was awful! It no longer held my hair style and had a horrendus smell. I wasted a lot of money in search for a new product. For approx. a year I tried every brand which had promise, even the expensive beauty shop brands recommended by my hair stylists. By chance, I decided to try Giovanni and bingo---it was THE ONE! It holds beautifully and is perfect in all kinds of weather. Also, it has a pleasant almost non-existant fragrance. I have been afraid that Giovanni will do as my previous brands---be discontinued or else change their formula, so I stay stocked up on it. VitaCost is one of the very few places I can find it and their prices are always the best I can find. Thanks VitaCost!"

"My husband is SUPER picky about his hair gel. He buys a high-end one that took him a long time to find that "perfect one" and it's expensive. This one is BETTER. It shines, it holds, but also gives bounce (it's not sticky and doesn't make hair hard). It's affordable and has great ingredients. BUT AND A BIG BUT...it has parabens in it...so this makes me very sad. If they took the parabens out I'd buy it over and over again!"

"i did not realize when i purchased this that it contains parabens, so will not be using it. i assumed that since giovanni has paraben-free shampoos and condtioners that this would be too. not the case."

"With my fine hair, I normally stay away from gels because they are too heavy and weigh down my hair. Based on another reviewer who had fine hair, I tried the Giovanni gel. It works quite well. It gives my hair nice body and my hair stays soft, not stiff. I would buy this again. I like the Giovanni mousse, too. I like that they are not heavily fragranced."

"I love Giovanni’s Natural Styling Gel! I’m highly allergic to chemical additives in hair & skin products. I have naturally curly hair which tends to get frizzy and dry. Giovanni’s Gel helps control the frizz and has excellent hold without looking unnatural. It also relaxes my hair. Best of all, it does not aggravate my allergies and is inexpensive.
