"I bought this because during the month of my 45th birthday, I ended up with perioral dematitis (PD). Never had it before, but have ALWAYS suffered from acne. Read on-line about sodium lauryl sulfate and its possible link to PD. Was hesitant to switch off of acne soaps, but I did and have been using Dr. Bronner's soaps for over a month now. These soaps are fantastic. My skin is no longer irritated and dry; can't say my skin is now "perfect" but it is a heck of a lot better than it was a month ago. I have gone back and ordered more soaps because I had such great results."

"So far, the almond is on of my two (or three) of my favorite scents. It's smooth and yummy. I like to give this scent in gifts baskets for all occasions. The large bars last a long time and the lather is outstanding. Due to the natural oils in the soap, the longer I use it in the shower, the less I need body lotion."

"If you're looking for something exciting and refreshing, like you might typically find at a specialty bath supply, then don't purchase this soap. It's a dead-pan "nice" soap with a moderate amount of suds. However, it's truly nothing special...especially not for the price range. Was I pleased with it? Sure, as pleased as I am with my lawn mower when it cuts grass. It's just soapy plain soap. The almond bar has no fragrance and it wasn't especially pleasant to wash with. It is, simply put, just what it is: a boring bar of soap."

"From what I can tell, this is a pretty dense soap. It seems like it will last a long time. I'm not as pleased with the scent as I had hoped, but that happens a lot when purchasing "all natural" products. The all natural products don't knock you out with an artificial sticky sweet smell. It smells like all natural real almonds. All of Dr. Bronner's soaps are organic and natural, and this one is a great value."

"This is my favorite of all the Dr. Bronner's soaps. The almond scent is not overpowering and doesn't smell fake. As with all the Doc's soaps, it works up into a creamy, luscious lather and doesn't leave your skin screaming for hand lotion. Yes, it costs more than a bar of Dove, but it's well worth it."

"This bar soap cleans as well or better than others I have tried, and best of all, it lasts a long time, leaving a nice firm small piece of soap to dispose of, or stick on the new bar. I work with greasy car parts all day, and it works well, with my scrub brush, in the sower."
