NSI No Flush Niacin -- 1,000 mg per serving - 100 Capsules

Niacin is an essential B vitamin that plays many roles, including promoting cardiovascular, brain, digestive and skin health. Niacin is involved in numerous reactions inside of cells that convert food into cellular energy. Niacin is also involved in the activity of enzymes that transport and break down fats, proteins, carbohydrates, and other molecules formed from food. No-flush niacin is a form of niacin that is inositol bound and may be better tolerated because it is does not produce gastrointestinal discomfort, or have the characteristic "flush" of producing red and itchy face and neck. Niacin is particularly helpful in promoting healthy cholesterol levels. A normal function of niacin is to help remove fats (triglycerides) from tissues and the bloodstream.

"For the first time, I am able to take niacin. I was never able to take nacin before because the flush effected my nerves real bad, even at the lowest level possible."

"Unfortunately the low flush niacin did not work for me. Took it for 90 days and then had blood work done - no difference at all in any of the cholesterol levels.
It appears that only the standard niacin works but with the unpleasant side effect of flushing."

"For an old-timer used to regular Niacin, this "no-flush" version is a welcome upgrade. No more burning itchy sensation, or turning a few shades of red and pink. Seems to work fine w/o the nastier side effects."

"I chose to use this product because I read information that recommended taking 3,000mg of niacin a day to aid the body in lowering cholesterol naturally. I have not confirmed that it has lowered my cholesterol as of yet, but I can say that it definitely has no flushing side effects."

"I could never take regular or extended release Niacin because of the flushing effects. This non-flusing formula made it possible for me to take enough of it to significantl lower my high triglicerides. When added to Tricor, perscribed by my doctor, my triglicerides went from 300 down to 150 which is about normal. At one time they were over 900. I get regular blood tests for safety purposes. I now take 1000 mg of the this Niacin."
