"I got very excited when I read all the good reviews this product received. I have anxiety and bad joints - so it seemed perfect. However, I was unable to continue use of this product. I used it for three days. And for those three days, I had excruciating stomach aches that lasted over 3 hours! There is a warning about the possibility of stomach aches and that it typically subsides with prolonged use - but the pain was too much to continue using the product. I wish I could recommend it, but I am fearful someone else would experience the same stomach pains."

"Hi I started taking 1 pill a day or every other day for tennis elbow after 2 weeks it worked great very very happy with it. I notice the pain begins to come back if I stop taking it for awhile and certainly works. A friend who had bad knee joint problem began to take it and swares by it. I have tried other brands but by far this is the best brand it MUST be taken on EMPTY stomach or your wasting your time. NSI brand isnt bad at all but this is stronger at same dose."

"I have suffered from severe depression and suicidal thoughts from my earliest memories. About 3 years ago I started taking SAM-e on the recommendation of a nutritionist and after much research. I felt an improvement in my mood and thought patterns within 2 weeks. I could tell that I was being less emotional and more logical; also, I felt less lonely. I could hold a positive train of thought whereas I usually felt like there were 12 voices in my head yelling horrible things at me. On days when I forgot to take it in the morning, I would feel overwhelmingly sad by 2pm. Instead of 10 or more days a month of deep depression, I was only experiencing 3 or 4. Due to a major breakdown after the accidental death of my closest friend, I am now on a pharmaceutical medication. I am finding it more effective than SAM-e. But SAM-e definitely improved my quality of life while I was using it. I bought this brand because it was the best price, but it is also the most pure and effective. A couple of times I bought other brands because I didn't need anything else from Vitacost and I didn't want to spend $5 on shipping one box of SAM-e, but those other brands were not effective at all. This product should not be taken if you suffer from manic episodes, as it can worsen them."

"This is one of the few supplemenst I have actually noticed a difference myself from taking. I decided to take it mainly for its purported benefits for the liver though I knew that it was also helful for mood enhancement and joint health. I've never taken SAMe before but after just one month of taking this I realized I had been feeling really happy and hadn't even had the slightest hint of PMS that month. It apparently is being absorbed and is affecting me as it is reputed to do so I feel it is probably improving my liver function as well."
