"I read the reviews for this and most people raved about how good it smelled. I can't imagine why. The scent is very artificial and perfumy and completely overwhelming. It did not smell like almonds. I have no idea if it is an effective product, as within 30 minutes I was back in the shower trying desperately to get it off, as I had a headache from it. I shudder to think what this smell would be like if mixed with a little b.o. ... although you probably couldn't smell anything but the deoderant, and maybe that is the purpose, since it is not an anti-perspirant. If you are even a little sensitive to smells, you'll want to avoid this. Perhaps I'll try the unscented version."

"the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it does not have a better rating on cosmetic database because of the fragrance. But aside from that. I love how it smells and it does for sure work as far as natural deodorants go. The crystal for me is not effective but this one does work and keeps working even in our 100 degree desert heat. The unscented one is great too and better if you are going for health reasons which I am so no longer using the Almond."

"This is the only deodorant that works all day and night for me. The scent is nice. It doesn't stop the sweat (not an anti-perspirant), so if you are a heavy sweater, this may not be for you. But if you are concerned about aluminum in your deodorant, this is a good choice since it's made with natural ingredients."

"I was very skeptical, but with such glowing reviews I thought I would try this...so glad I did! I am such a freak about b.o., it makes me gag! I started using Alvera in the spring, everything went well. Then summer came and I was worried, but it held up, even in the humid, muggy 95degree weather! Obviously not a anti-perspirant but has not been a problem what-so-ever. I probably drove my husband and daughter nuts always asking "do I stink?" LOL! You start thinking about what you use on your body and stay away from the chemicals, additives, aluminum, parabens, etc. I had to get used to the whole roll on thing again, I have been using solids as long as I can remember. Even my 23yr old has swithced over. The scent is subtle and pleasant. This is a keeper!"

"I must say, I don't know how this deodorant works! The ingredients are basically herbs and aloe vera, with a few others, but it eliminates odor and even cuts down quite a bit on sweating- even without aluminum. This product works much better than other natural deodorants I have tried. It smells yummy, too. I've been telling lots of friends about this one!"
