Athaea Officinalis Certified Organically Grown Although nothing like the sugary, puffy candy that received its name, marshmallow root was once a main ingredient in a popular French confection. Known for its mucilaginous qualities, the use of marshmallow dates back to ancient Greek and Korean cultures. Marshmallow grows wild in wet environments, usually on the borders of marshes. We use roots that are at least two years old for maximum benefit. Our marshmallow root is organically grown.

"I have found that Marshmallow Root is a very effective alternative to OTC anti-histamines. It willl reduce most of my symptoms without any side effects! As far as I have found, there are no discernable side effects. Well worth your time to explore this product."

"My husband tried this and did not like it for his upset stomach. Said that it left him with a bad taste in his mouth. He said that he likes using papaya for his upset stomach, it works a lot better than this product."
